I was trying to convince my GF to climb a tree so I could take photos of her... While I was showing her how to do it, she grabbed my camera and decided to photograph me.

This was the first time she has ever used a DSLR, more less a manual focus lens. She took quit a few and missed focus by about a foot or so on most.

I did the PP on this one. I tried to keep it minimal, crop and exposure.

The focus looks ok. Not a fan of the pinlights though. I also think a different crop would look better, crop some off the top and camera right.

Not a fan. Ditch the on-camera flash and try to shoot from a more unique perspective and open up your aperture/use more telephoto.

exposure looks fine on the areas that matter. id tone down the highlights between the leaves with the burn tool

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not to worried about getting it perfect. Melanie wanted to know how she did, so I posted it. I will play with it a bit and give it to her.
