Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
i'm wanting to create collage prints. Other than Walmart, where is a good place create them? walmart photo doesn't give many options to create it the way i want.

I like to use photoshop, I think there might even be some actions where you can just plug in the images you want. Other than that I don't really know.

I created a collage in Paint Shop Pro (I don't have Photoshop...just Lightroom). I wanted the collage in a 10x30. I normally order at Mpix.com but they did not offer the size I wanted. I found Nations Lab online and placed my order. I'm anxiously awaiting the photo. I hope it turns out well but I'm a bit worried. There are various places online that offer collage templates but they all seem so limited to me, so I do my own.

Here's the one I'm trying to print. (Wish me luck because I have five more similar colllages to print!)

Nothing easier than using Fotofusion, I bought the mine years ago and still use it from time to time. If you are planning on doing weddings and such you may want the better packages of software as they let you save pages of different layouts and such. But for the most part Enhanced version has worked for me , download it and give it a try. I may have a copywrite logo if you try to print etc. but it lets you test the software. If it does not do enough it is easy enough to upgrade. When you get a new computer etc. it is just a phone call or email to them to send you a link so you can place it back on your new computer.

Shoot well, Joe

You can create custom collages in lightroom too, or use pre-made templates. Very simple. I have done so and exported them as a single jpeg. I had some printed through mpix with great results. The only complaints I had were my errors in the actual photos themselves. If you are interested I can post an example.

I would like to see! I knew I could do them in LR but haven't had time to learn how. I use PSP so much that sometimes it's easier just to do what I know. :sexywink:

People seem to like this layout for some reason. I have used it a few times. Once you have it it's as simple as dropping the pics you want into it, export, print, done.

Great job! But you didn't like the way they printed at Mpix?

No, not at all. I have had nothing but wonderful results with mpix including a 16x20 over my fireplace. I am critical of my own photos, that's all. The key with mpix is paying attention to the aspect ratio. The collage above is odd, 8.5x11, but printed great.

I like MPix as well. So far I've been happy with all their work. I'm trying Nations Lab for the first time so we will see.

thank you all for your suggestions! they are very helpful.
