These were taken with the d300 and the cheaper 70-300 lens. Not bad for what I had. Let me know what you think.

Hey Dan, nice to see you back. Looks like you are catching some good action. Are the ospreys heavy crops? I like the third and the fifth one the best. My ospreys should be back in a few weeks

There are some strange artifacts in the blues. Maybe the compression level is too aggressive converting to jpeg? There is also some purple fringing/ CA that could be removed in PP and if you shot in raw maybe you can recover some of the highlights?

The catbird? #2, looks like the camera grabbed focus on the branch in front...
