Ospreys

The first and last seem quite granular...are they deep crops or crazy-high ISO setting shots?

I bet you are blown away by the 7D-II's astounding AF module, and its capabilities, even with relatively slow lens apertures!!

Yeah big crops. So far the AF is the best I've ever seen rivaling the 1dx. It is certainly snappier than the 5d which says a lot because that is fast.

The ISO is decent, but that's the trade off of crop sensors.

Only the in-focus shots are worth keeping!!!

Nice set runnah, it seems Kris responded to your thread in style! You guys should have a challenge thread, while we observe from the sidelines.. :801:

Only the student can defeat the master.
Looks like you are having fun. Dive shots take a lot of planning and research, and then the right winds and lots of luck. They are very weary when they come out of the water and look around for the best escape route..

You are absolutely right about the research.. I've been watching the local Osprey in my area and I've yet to see one actually dive. I'm wondering if they really need to in the lake.. They seem to have no problem swooping in to catch their fish... :)
