Panasonic DSLR

[Alter_Ego]

Does anyone here own a panasonic DSLr or know of any good ones?
My friend is planning on going with panasonic because her father is able to get her free panasonic equipment. I did suggest canon or nikon because those are the most common two. Any suggestions with the panasonic dslrs?

G1 or G2 for stills only or GH1 or GH2 if one wants video as well. You can use old but very good old SLR lenses of any make on them & they are very inexpensive. I shoot with a G1.

It's pretty hard to beat, for free.
