Found myself digging through images I took in 2011 on a two week European trip. I took so many that I never really went through and editing many, here's two I edited last night.

Not much to say, they are well executed.
The second is a bit bland but the first is a winner
( although it may have a tiny tilt)

The first one needs the horizon slightly adjusted but the shot is beautiful. The 2nd is really nice too. A lot of people dont understand that, that photo takes a nice skill to actually pull off correctly. It looks like the 2nd one may be a little crooked as well though.

Thanks Lew, compared to the first one, the second is a bit bland but I liked the smooth water and small added elements that mad the image recognizable as Venice. The bridge, poles, water, etc. thanks for commenting.

First one was straightened off of the tower, not horizon which may make the image look crooked, but not nearly as bad had the tower been off in my opinion.

Second was straightened, I THINK, off of the walking path. Could just be the architecture or distortion of being a UWA lens? Not sure.

Hoping you're saying the skill level here is good and not saying it's not skillful ha


I may go back to the Eiffel image and check straightness, just noticed Lew said same thing

Definitely skillful in regards to the composition of the images. I dont think however the 2nd image is crooked because of the lens, did you straighten it yourself? Either way, I think a slight move to the right will make it a lot better.

Maybe its because the camera isnt perfectly straight, it looks like you were looking slightly to the left instead of being 100% straight, you can see it if you look at the windows at the top.

Straightening #1 by using the tower is the best method for this shot. IMO it is already straight.

Straightening #2 probably would be better by using the verticals of the buildings, in this case, the window frames.
