Its an amazing photo. Some like the stumps, I do not.

I agree with the other guys, the tree stumps shouldn't be there, the second photo is good too, but not as interesting as the first one! Both photos are interesting though! I've to say you live at a very beautiful place!

Stumps keep it real.... some things are better less pristine and this is one of them..nice shot

I am compelled to come down on the side of the stumps, especially as they are coming out of the reflection of Mt. Hood. Makes a striking image. To me, the second picture is somewhat blah. I was in the Portland area last June but the tour did not get to Lake Trillium. The entire area is magnificent.
