I attended my sons football game today and took the camera out to play. Here are a few photos for you to pick apart. Admittedly, I know nothing about football so was not ale to follow the action like I should have but here are a few anyway.

Not much can be seen in pictures this size.

That being said, these look badly out of focus and you need to fill the frame with more action.
All that space just lets any tension drain away.

the shot was timed well for the practice kick, but its just too out of focus.
Lews suggested crop would be a big improvement, but the focus issue really kills the photo regardless.
