I don't normally do well photographing people but I quite like this photo of my daughter.

Using Gimp, I re-cropped the image using a 1:1 aspect ratio, adjusted the White Balance a bit.... Did an auto color enhance and added a bit of sharpess... This was m result. Just to give you my 2 cents...

I like the white balance, I didn't notice it was off.

I used the 5x7 crop because we might use it as a Christmas card.

What's really terrible about this photo and every single other one like it, is that I immediately know to do a right click properties to verify that it's hosted on photobucket.

OP - Sign up for flickr and test that out. It's free for the first 200 photos and it doesn't make your photos look bad.
