Pinnacles and creeks

[Alzran]

Both shots were taken at Pinnacles Youth Park near Columbia, Missouri. Winter shot was taken Feb 22, 2013 and the creek shot was taken April 2012. Kodak EasyShare C813, edited.


Sadly, the snow is already melted again. I'll go back later this spring for a season comparison shot.

The water wasn't as high in this photo as it was when I first found the creek, but beautiful nonetheless. Edited only for color vibrance, to make it look more like it did in person. Was also one of the first edits I ever did.

Anyway, feel free to critique, offer CC, and do your own edits to the originals so I can see what I might do better. Please note, my edits are done using Pixlr.com as I do not own Photoshop or Lightroom (or anything of the sort), so I try to make the best of what little I have.

Shot 1:
The cliffs are too small to really appreciate them and since the sky is relatively uninteresting, I'd crop in closer. Maybe something like this

The green in that shot hurt my eyes.
I thought about a B&W conversion. Better, but the bottom line is, there just isn't anything there as a point of interest
