Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I'm new to photography, and to this forum (naturally). I feel as though this is my passion and I want to pursue it, only thing is that I don't know if I have any natural talent for this sorta thing. I love taking pictures and I've done so for my whole life, however until recently I wasn't in a position to pursue a better understanding of photography. I've attached a link to my photobucket album just to see what people think..

Thanks All! :D

Please note that all pictures were taken on an iPhone4. I'm currently working on acquiring a top of the line camera incase I decide to dive deeper into the world of photography!

I would suggest laying off the editing a little. Can you post some clean shots with minimal editing? I am not a pro but do know enough to know a good photographer when I see one.

Agree^^^ From what I see your composition is ok. However, Too much editing can and will kill the entire image. Be careful not to get carried away. Post some with less editing.

Mate, I just noticed this just now....dont know why or how I missed it. You have it the wrong way around. Using an iphone to find out if you are willing to get deeper into photography is like buying a bicycle and saying I really wanna test it out to see if I wanna go deeper into the world of Motorbikes if you catch my drift. If you wanted to be a photographer you would have a good Point & Shoot or bridge camera at least by now. Sorry man. Then again I might be wrong. Good luck though man I wish you the best :-)

No editing done here, just fooling around with my phone and a pair of sunglasses.

SERIOUSLY? :er:

I don't care if you downloaded the COOLEST, LATEST, ap that you paid $1.99 for to get those affects on the photo... it doesn't matter if it's on a computer or done within the iPhone... you manipulated those photos... hence EDITING... and yeah... buy yourself a point and shoot and see how that goes first and certainly lay off the "cool" iPhone affects....

Is it too early in the game to call "Troll"?

I agree with the over editing, but you don't need a good camera to learn the basic fundamentals of photography.

I do not like any of the effects on the other photos, but I will C&C this one..

I like the angle. I would have given the subject a little more room at the top of the frame. I am unsure if you can adjust the depth of field on the iphone, but I would have blurred the background a bit more. I would have also found the photo much more interesting if you had a cool subject (maybe a girlie in a bikini, or a sunset, a seagull on a rock) in the reflection of the glasses.

You're right. Fail on my part. Apparently I failed to comprehend the entire post... especially the part where you click on the image to see what it was. For some reason I assumed (you know what they say) that it was the first link again.

WHY would it be the first link again? HOW would that even make sense... at ALL?

F**k if I know.

I don't even know where I am right now. What time is it? Mommy, is that you?

I'm going to take a shower. Clearly I'm too drunk on loose-leaf, honey and sugar. :biglaugh:

It's ok, we have all had one of those moments, days, weeks.. We still love ya. :)

Its not about the app or effects really, im more interested in the types of pictures im taking. forget the effects and look at the setup for a brief second. I know with a phone Im obviously not going to be able to do anything you would be able to with a camera. look at it like this...if i were using a legitimate camera...am i on the right track? When I joined this forum i joined with the intent of learning about photography and developing skills. I'm starting on the most basic level...the only experience I have is a basic class i took in high school. But I really enjoy it, and thats what its all about, doing things you love...right?

The problem is that it's hard to LOOK at "just the set up" with *so much* editing done to them.

Can you just pull the originals from your phone (or where ever you hopefully have them stored) and post *those* instead? It'd be *a lot* easier for people to look at and give you the responses you're looking for. :sillysmi:
