Well ever since creating the big soft box, i thought i need a small one as well. So that's what me an my gf set out to do today, im quite pleased with the results and i plan on making a tutorial on it.

Very nice! I'll have to try and make this sometime.

good.
what are the materials?

Im working on a tutorial but have final exams coming up so it will take more time than normal. The cost of it i would estimate at

1 - Black hard Styrofoam/cardboard from art store $2
2 - Black Duck tape - $4 but only used a small amount
3 - Tinfoil $1
4 - Velcro 3$/m i purchased 1m and only used a fraction of that
5 - Old t-shirt for defusing material $0
6 - Glue stick $1

So around $12 total plus your household things like scissors, ruler, pencil and razer blade.

2 and a half hours of work aprox with help and the construction , priceless.

It is very lightweight, i can comfortably sit it on the flash without putting too much pressure on the neck. Definatly worth the time and investment considering it does the same job as the store bought softbox for a fraction of the cost.

I pressed a wrong button and now my post has been deleted :(

Nevermind.

EDIT: In my original post I posted a link, then went in to edit it because I realised Davor had said he would make a tutorial and I thought people might like one.
The link was not the link I was thinking it was but seeing as Davor has had a look and likes it, I'll post it again...

Templates and stuff on there *nods*

Wow thanks for the link, honestly if i had that link before it sure would have saved me allot of headache. Its funny because those are the exact same dimensions as i used but his looks allot lighter than mine, the only thing i have against is i would have lined the inside with tinfoil for better output of light. Ill still make my Tutorial just for the heck of it. His is a bit more complicated than how did it.
