Portrait picture

I want to take portrait picture on direct sunlight person standing infront of white light. How to get my perfect shot on this situation what are things i hv to take on my attention.
Please suggest me!

you'll want to start with a sunbuster umbrella, to diffuse the direct glare of the sun and reduce harsh shadows. use a tripod if you can- this will increase sharpness even when shooting at high shutter speed.
are you using film or digital? go with the slowest speed you possibly can with this much light.

how are you orienting the white light?

a reflector might be a good idea to bring light up from below the face....
