i'm a new member of TPF. i looked the forum and i liked. i know i'll learn so much thing about photography. So i want to start with showing a shot from my D5000 18-55mm.

an interesting portrait. The background does distract slightly.

I agree about the background especially around his beard. It just blends right in and doesn't differentiate the outline of his chin from the background. I do like the concept though.

The background distracting? i dont see anything distraction here. its a hill with snow and trees.

i like the back lightning from the sun and the perfect profile shot.

Very nice Necroframer, I can almost see this in a Barbour Clothing collection look-book, minus the woodbine obviously

This reminds me of all the old John Cougar Mellencamp shots with a ciggie sitting out his mouth. I spelled that wrong I bet but some will know who I mean.
