Prairie sunsets over Winnipeg

These have been scanned in from some old slides from when I lived in Winnipeg. They have not been modified. We would get some amazing sunsets on the Canadian prairies.

Interesting clouds. They looked like brush strokes in a painting.

Oh. Very beautiful. All four of them.
But my favourite is the first with all the silhouetted things in the picture.
Though, the more I think about it, the more I find that the colours of the last make it a fast runner up, immediately followed by the - once again - silhouetted shapes of the blocks of flats and the crane in 3...
 
I like the last one the best, how you can see the 'evolution' of colors from orange to the purple/blue..

And the brushstroke clouds that you mention, they are called cirrus clouds. High clouds that are mostly very whispy...
 
Great series. The last one does it for me too. Really dig the colours.
