What's new

Pulling my hair out... Looking for someone to take me under there wing!! and help me!

So many of these stories show that photographers were luxuries instead of necessities. My point was that they are considered more of a necessity now instead of a luxury. All I'm saying is that pro photographers are more of a standard now that in the last 100 years. Again my opinion.

The smarter (yet to be proven) ones are praised for their words no matter how (assumed, yet to be proven) wrong and insulting.
How was asking for sources for your claims an insult?
I was talking about kmh. He came out of nowhere insulting me.
Lets not get intelligence and knowledge mixed up here. You are definately more knowledgeable in photography but it does not make you more intelligent.

Can you expand on that?

You just proved my point. Because they are more liked, their opinion is right no matter the lack of evidence they have to show for it. So this is like highschool all over again.

I think life in general is one big popularity contest. It doesn't stop in high school and it isn't limited by the walls of this forum.

If someone you've known for a year gave you a piece of information and then someone else whom you've known for 3 days said the opposite who would you be more inclined to believe? Almost instinctively, who would you ask to prove their statement or give more information? You don't have to answer that out loud, but think about it and be honest with yourself. It may seem unfair, but it's human nature.

you may know more about photography but it does not make you more intelligent it makes you more knowledgeable in that field. Saying you are smarter than me is not accurate because there is no way of accurately measuring intelligence. There is however proof that you are more knowledgeable. Knowledge is how much you know about a field of study. Intelligence is how well that knowledge is used. If we base how smart a person is on how much they know then everyone is a genius because everyone has vast knowledge about something. You photography, and jewelry. Me outdoor survival and dancing. Others knitting and business and so on. I know those are odd combinations but hey you never know.

Just wanted to make sure you got proper credit for the endless pages of useless, juvenile back-and-forth you've caused yet again kbarredo. What does the k stand for? kindergarden? Lol, JK. No, not really. Maybe you ought to be forced to sit in the corner...

Hey that guy didnt cause it hes helping fix it. I never caused this argument. Me and another member were talking about why people dont find photographers important enough to have at their wedding. I stated because people see it as a luxury not a necessity. Bitter asked for a source and I said common sense and knowledge. Then kmh came in and said both of which you do not have. So it goes from a simple discussion to some uncalled for insult but for some reason i am made out to be the troll. This was what I meant by a popularity contest. kmh insults me and I get called a troll for fighting back. Does no one else see that insulting post or are people really just hardwired to take anyones side that is opposing mine.

Let's be fair, it was not Kbarredo who took this thread off track. Go back to page 2 & see.
Thank you! I didnt derail this one Im just the last one getting off the train after the accident.

More like the one trying to push the train all the way into the ditch, not just partway in...

Okay....Kbarredo has made the following contributions in this thread.

page 2-3 posts

page 3-5 posts

page 4-3 posts

page 5-4 posts

He's been doing a bang-up job on TPF causing drama, and airing his anger management issues, his petty jealousies of other photography enthusiasts, his marital problems, etc, etc. He has done ***plenty*** to derail this thread, Ron. Yet again, he has managed to take a thread and make it all about "him". He has been a huge contributor to the derailment of this thread. He might not have 'started' the derailment, but he maintained it, over and over, and over, page after page. He needs to learn when to just simply abandon a thread where he's getting his arse kicked and to just WALK AWAY and LET IT DIE... but, he cannot seem to do that.

This is a joke, right?

You don't even know how to get a RAW file onto you computer and you already have a wedding booked?

Really... So what was the market like back in 1910? Or maybe the '50's...

I would say that having your picture taken by a pro is still a 'luxury' expense. Either you and I have different definitions of 'pro photographer', or you are out of touch with 'normal' people.
