Question about zooms

I see on non slrs they have a blank x zoom i was wondering like what zoom on a slr camera is equvelint to a x zoom on a non slr thanx

You have to look at the mm range. e.g. 38-380 is a 10x zoom. 28-100 is a 3.5x zoom. etc.
