Re-starting my photography, advice needed.

Hello, I'm pleased to have found this forum. It's been five or so years since I did any photography, but while I was a boy scout I did quite a bit. Recently I've been contemplating getting back into it, and I was hoping to get some critique on a couple of my old photos so I have somewhere to start improving. These were done with minimal prior training or knowledge. Also, if anyone here does food photography, do you have any tips about getting started down that route? (I'm a cook at a major hotel and graduated culinary school)
