rebel t3 upgrade

I am still doing amateur photos, but am ready to upgrade t3 I bought 2 years ago on black Friday. So far the d 70 has my interest because of price, wi-fi and video. However, if I really start to learn new techniques will I be looking to upgrade again in a year? I would prefer to stick to Canon. Main subjects are people. Not in sports. The things I know that I need in upgrade are faster shutter speed. I'm only getting the best shots in good lighting conditions. My editing is still at an amateur level as well. Any advice to start me on the right path would be appreciated.

The 70D is a good next step up in cameras from the T3. It's main claim to fame is the auto focus for video. I've heard good things about it.

Another option in the ball park in price would be the full frame 6D. It will handle the low lighting situations better than the T3 and the 70D. Again it is full frame and any of the EFS lenses will not work on it.

I only have two lenses. My budget is not huge but I am willing to go higher if I feel I will use the capability the camera offers. What is the benefit of a full frame? I use the apature adjustment when shooting but do not have other manual settings. I plan to learn more about using an sLR camera. However, I am a stay at home mom running a business from home. I am trying to get my photography skills up so that I can venture into a business I am more passionate about. Finding the time is the hard part. In the first year I just learned the 18-55mm lens that came with camera. In the past year I purchased the 75 - 250mm lens and loved the doors it opened mainly because it maximized apature 3.2 where the other was at 5 I think. I have photoshop elements 8. Never had a class in anything and desperately want to. After two years I cannot believe how much I still do not know. I just know I want an upgrade but feel I should still stick with beginners stuff. My boys are 1 and 3 and possibly in two years I can really dive in and would be willing to invest a lot more. Right now was hoping $2000 could get me to the next level.

Those two lenses will not work on the 6D, but you can get it with the kit lens for a little more than the $2,000 and then sell your current body and lenses to make it total under $2,000. You will only have 1 lens then, but it is a constant f/4 and is a really good walk around lens for everyday use.

The biggest benefit of full frame is that the sensor is bigger which will help it handle low light situations. The bigger sensor helps with capturing the details better.

Thank you so much for the input. I will check that camera out as well. I'm just digging into what the forum has to offer and I am very excited about having so many brains to pick and to have pic apart my photos. Hopefully I will learn how to use it in the next week. Could you answer another question? I found out the hard way not to edit on my laptop. I am never sitting in front of a desktop so I started using my tablet. Much better, but I need a windows based device to do editing on while hanging out in the lazy boy at 11pm. Any suggestions.?
