Can anyone recommend a good macro book.

Close-ups in Nature by John Shaw

It's a slightly older book back when film was still the main medium of photography and so it is the primary focus of the book. However the actual methodology of macro photography has changed little from those days and things like manual focus and flash are still methods used today by many macro shooters. It;s well worth getting hold of a copy for a read.
