I was invited to a private birthday party for A Place Called Hope https://www.facebook.com/APlaceCalledHope?fref=ts (IF you do the FB). Of course I couldn't wait to go. The lighting is always tough in the Aviaries. But I had my macro lens and the Tokina. Even tougher was no depth of field... But I still had a blast.. Comments welcome

1 - Baby Screech Owl. Little guy would not open his eyes...

2 - Permanent Resident - Blind in one eye - Shot through the fence. Tokina 300

3 - Screech Owl - I was in the cage for this one ISO 800 1/50 macro lens..

4 - Baby Red Shouldered Hawk - Macro lens.. could just get the eyes in focus...

All are great, but #4 is different in a very cool way. Nicely done.

I love #4. And of course I'm going to have to clean the screen again when my daughter pets #1. Sigh.

Nice shots.
