what do people think of this shot? I kind of like it because the rock is the focal point, but there is also a lot more in the pic...

I like it very much. I like the results that the wide-angle lense produced on the illusion of the 3rd dimension. The line created by repeditive objects enhanced the illusion of depth as well.

There isn't any detail in the shadow in the tree, but that might be one of the contributing facters of the overall beauty of the shot. Opening up that shadow might lend to contention with the rock and/or the building.

I wonder how the pic would have looked if the building had been the main subject by being in sharpest focus. The rock and 3 trees create a line of repeating objects that lead the eye to the building.

THAT is a neat shot! Besides nice composition and framing the rock has the appearance of floating on blades of grass.
