San Diego Digital Photography Schools

So I wasnt sure where to put this but I figured this was the best. So anywho I am looking to send my girlfriend to a digital photography school for like a day or half day or a weekend thing in the san diego area. She just upgraded to a Digital SLR camera (Canon Rebel Xti) to be exact and for Christmas I thought this would be a good gift. She is planning on going to Italy this summer and I want her to know as much as she can before she goes. So to the question, I was wondering any recommendations on schools/classes/workshops out in San Diego? Any information would help really i am kinda lost. Thank you guys for your time and effort
