What's new

Santa did ok!

Congratulations on your new acquisition!

Pictures, pictures, we want pictures. That camera has had plenty of time to acclimate, so we want pictures.

Oh yeah, the camera is definitely acclimated. It feels real good have all my controls mounted on top of the camera where they belong.
I'm heading up to my land in the Pocono's tomorrow morning and it's going along. There's a small stone structure a couple miles down the road that's been begging to be photograghed.
I'm actually going up to start clearing a driveway but I'm not sure how much clearing is going to get done with my new toy along

Well, my outing yesterday was blown out of the water due to a sicky wife staying in bed all day :(. But I have an idea to play with today. It's rainy so I need to play indoors, so it's time to check out the higher ISO's. This is one thing I'm really excited about. Anything over 400 and my old D200 began to fall apart. At least for my taste. But then again I never liked the grain in film above 400.
I did manage to sneak out a grab two SD cards. Geez...$3,000 and you can't even throw in a 4gb card :meh:. After putting in the card, of course I just had to take the classic shot of the empty chair across the room. That's when I discovered the camera has 1400 squeezes on the shutter. It came from a really small shop, and I knew they only had the one that was on the shelf, but I was a little surprised about the count. I was annoyed thinking I paid "new" pricing for a "used" camera, but then I thought at least I knew it wasn't dead out of the box or shortly after. I may call them and see if they will work with me. Maybe I can get them to spring for an extended warranty. But bottom line is I knew it was on the shelf.

Sweet! I mulled over this body as well!
