To me it looks like an overexposed slide. I noticed that you developed the film yourself. could you have been a little off there ? It's not terrible, but I agree with those who think it looks too bright; not enough pop in the colors and the background is washed out.
But I guess my monitor may be whacky too.

I have to ask ... is your monitor calibrated...? Because mine is and it looks fine to me... No offense or anything, I'm just not getting the 'way overexposed' thing...

I don't think it's over exposed.

I looked at it on my computer - before and after recalibrating, and on my phone (which had a surprisingly accurate display) while the calibration was running, and it looked mostly the same to me each time. My eyes are now adjusted to the recalibrated screen, and it doesn't look bad to me. I'm going to chalk if up to differing personal preferences. There's no doubt that the skin tones are on the red side, but even that looks 'natural' to me.

I can understand that it might be too red for some people, and that doesn't bother me - it's just that it looks 'right' to me how it is now...
