Wow, this photo is WAY over-exposed for me. I mean this as nice as possible, but it hurts my eyes to look at this photo. It is just way too bright.

I have to ask ... is your monitor calibrated...? Because mine is and it looks fine to me... No offense or anything, I'm just not getting the 'way overexposed' thing...

Well, I guess I could be due for recalibration, but typically (in my experience, on my monitor) when I need to recalibrate it's mostly the colors that are off, not the brightness.

I guess I'll wait for another opinion, lol. I'll probably recalibrate anyway though, because I probably am due for it...

Way right on my calibrated monitor too; that and her, "If you don't put that thing away soon..." look.

I just recalibrated - the brightness looks more or less the same to me... (My monitor does look a lot more cool now (as far as temp goes), but I didn't really notice a change in brightness - it may take my eyes a while to get used to the new profile...)

It is a little magenta (I knew that before I recalibrated), but as far as brightness goes, I didn't think it was over the top or anything... You guys have me worried now, lol!


How do these look (as far as color & brightness are concerned)?

I agree the girl is exposed well but she IS red. It could very well be a sunburn though

The grass looks 'right' to me, so I'm assuming the redness is a combination of the film characteristics, the light at the time of shooting, and maybe a tiny bit of sunburn.

I like my version better, lol.

The skin tones look more-or-less natural, but there's just something about it that I don't like. It's not 'bad', just not my style I guess.

The bright is fine. It look like bright sun should look, and projects that feeling quite well.

Her skin looks blotchy to me, with regions of red/magenta icky, almost like a rash on her cheeks and above her eyebrows. It could be that's what she really looks like, but it ain't flattering! She looks like a bit of a handful, from the expression -- I like that part quite a bit.

She just looks sunburned to me. The background is bright, but not blindingly overexposed as others let on. Bright > dull and dreary IMO. lol But yeah, shes crispy red.
