Sensor Cleaning.. A Success!!!!

It's a LOT easier to see the dirt if you shoot something white at about f/11 or so. Overexpose a couple of stops so the meter doesn't turn it gray. Ignore the focus, don't worry about motion blur. I just use a white browser window on my monitor.

I used a piece of white paper tacked to the window and shot at f22.

This is a refurb'd D600. I noticed spots the day I got it.

That's almost as bad as mine!! Definitely definitely needs a cleaning.

you guys are changing lenses too much. must be. I don't plan on cleaning mine for five years. course with the amount of noise and quality of my photos it wouldn't be noticed anyway.

I kinda have to though! I never change lenses just for S's and G's... Unless you are being facetious, in which case, disregard this comment.

I was. could I make a suggestion? Buy a camera for each lens. no changing then.:mrgreen:

I'd love to. Shooting tonight I was thinking how nice it'd be to have a second body--one for long exposures, and one for quick shots.

You really should take them up on the cleaning-replacement. Mine would look like that every few days. On the bright side I did learn how to clean a sensor like a pro
