Sharpen the photo for me?

Here is my quick attempt at it, approximately 5 mins of playing around with USM, curves, and a Gaussian blur layer. I have seen much better done by people who actually know what they are doing (I don't).

if you have photoshop, sometimes i take a blurry photo and add a 10 px Gaussian Blur and a soft light overlay to make it look like a "dreamy" kind of photo so that the blurriness doesn't look so bad and maybe even on purpose...
