Two shots from the shoot I liked...

I would have shot both in portrait orientation. My reasoning is that in both you have two people standing up, making your subject taller than it is wide; these are generally (unless you deliberately break this rule) grounds to shoot portrait orientation. In the first, it would eliminate the brush on the right of the frame that is distracting and visually unappealing. On the second, it would have shown a full body view of the subjects that would echo the vertical nature of the tree.

Aside from this, the tones in the second are nice, although I would suggest a midtones adjustment so your shadows look less blue.

I think it's my fault, the roll wasn't 100% tight when I took it out of the back.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I actually took those in portrait as well, for my own taste I've always liked landscape. I was animation student in college so I've had 16:9 compositions drilled into my head. But you're right about portrait being appropriate though, which is why I shot both for the couple.
