Should anything be done to make pic better?

It seems like I can always improve on the pics I take through post editing, but stuck on this one. What would you do to improve on this pic. I did make an atempt at improving it by cropping a little bit, but not sure if it's any better then the first one.

agreed, should have turned my camera sideways for this shot, only reason i cropped it was it brought the view a little closer to the squirrell and because i thought there was too much empty space to the left. I also thought it would look better having the "V" of the branches going out at the corners of the pic. As mentioned by Bitter Jeweler , if I turned my camera sideways then I would have seen no need to crop at all.
