Showing my D7000 some love

I recently upgraded to a D750 (fantastic camera) so I decided to give my old D7000 a boost with a new lens. I got the Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and I must say, pretty cool little lens. Small and light and sharp as a tack.

Spent the day shooting with it. Very nice lens and may be the best crop frame 17-50 f/2.8 going these days.

I have that same lens that I use on my 7100 and 500, and absolutely love it.

Seems like a very nice lens. Dunno about it being the best though. My Fujinon 16-55 F/2.8 does a good job.

I miss my D7000. I learned a lot with that camera. but after I got a D600 I rarely used it. I still have 2 cameras though with a D750 and D500 but the D7000 got my photography going again after years of nothingness.

When the D7000 came out it got kuddos from the astrophotography crowd for it's blacks and ISO ability (for a DX). Thus I bought one. Then started using it for other non-astro work. Great camera.

I picked up a refurb D7000 a while back like Brand smelly New.Works Awesome. Here is one with my Nikon AF-S 300mm @ f/5.6 with with no TC on @ 3200 ISO. BTW I just Got the 17-50 2.8 but have not had a chance of trying it.

A New Lens? That's it????? From the title I thought maybe you got it some flowers, a box of chocolates, maybe took it out for a nice romantic dinner or something.

The d7000 doesn't like chocolates. It gets into the cracks and creates a gooey mess with the buttons and stuff. Wrong way to push it's buttons ....

Yea I don't like chocolate much my self, so I wouldn't feed it to the camera,I just don't roll like that.

I should have written, best 17-50 f/2.8 available for Nikon. I had the Tamron and was not impressed with it. The focus motor was noisy and it was very soft at the edges from 2.8 - 5.6. The Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 is big, heavy and lacks VR. Your Fujinon, from what I have read, looks like a top quality piece.
