Skater's Set

Ok a normal slr, good for taking fast clear shots, cheap on the budget and some lens and software to go with it. Anyone?

Canon 550D or 600D, I think Canon has better video quality at a lower price, the 550d shoots 60fps at 720p. I shoot skateboarding with Nikon, as for a fish eye I'd recommend Opteka 6.5mm, a few friends have this lens and it's good quality and ultra wide!. you'll also be left with a bit of money for some other lenses. hope this helps.

Some thoughts:

Flip-up screen like that on the 60d would be useful for filming low-angle skating video and photos.

If you have to skimp on the lens budget, you could buy an older full-manual fisheye and an adapter, to be honest you won't need to bother adjusting the focus on a wide fisheye if you set it 'about right' and have it stopped down a couple stops.
