Slow Response Time

This has been a challenging issue. Just after I made my first post about this, maybe 2 hours or so, I went back onto the forum and low and behold it was seemingly fixed...pages loaded lightening fast, for the first 3-4 posts I read then it went back to being very slow. Then I decided to do a 'system restore' to a previous restore point when I did not have this issue. Now it seems to be working much better. We'll see how it goes from here.
I very much appreciate your responses. Thank you
This is too funny. Maybe browser is running slow because you have not cleared the cache in a while. go to settings and privacy and clear everything but your passwords. Clear everything "all time" Then the browser should load faster. Using system restore probably restores your browser to an early cache history and runs it faster..

Hey woolsocks...thanks for the advice. I did clear the cache many times to no avail. I ended up having a computer shop fix this issue where the tech, with my okay, went into my machine remotely and did a whole bunch of things. I could see on my computer screen what he was doing and I didn't understand it at all. He was checking boxes, unchecking boxes, etc for about 45 minutes. After he was done it all seemed to work fine and has been working fine ever since. I still have no idea what caused this but I am very happy that I sought help with someone much more talented than myself to fix it.

I live in the sticks where ATT internet is still in the last decade. Typically slow downs tend to be short lived "downstream issues", or I have to reset the router. The older the OS, browser, or equipment, the more problems you will have internally, glad you got it fixed.

Thanks for the input Smoke. I think I did everything anyone has suggested at least once if not more but eventually resorted to calling in the big guns. Best $180.00 I ever spent.

I wonder what it was lol. It sounds like it was software on your computer that was at fault.

You are absolutely correct Woolsocks. Definately was a fault of my computer, nothing else.
