Actually, yes. To the left and to the bottom. I think the text to the right illustrates how useful that space can be, but at the bottom and left, not so much.

I like the shot and think it is well done, but personally, I think cropping out the bottom(at a line just about below the word 'photo') and taking out the left part to maintain the aspect ratio would make for a more powerful image, although I think I would like a square crop better.

Without the letters and watermark, I'd say no. With them present, then I'd agree with George, or at least I'd want a bit more space above and to the right of the letter block.
