I'm not even going to begin to explain how unbelievably frustrating this shot was. Let me just say: two small flashlights dangling from miscellaneous objects in my bathroom, macro in low light, and no tripod.

Anyway.. I had this idea at work and tried it out when I got home (what it would look like from the inside of a can). Didn't come out QUITE as good as I had hoped, but I'm satisfied.

The noise is intentional for effect.

That is pretty wicked. I'd love to see a shot of how you did it haha

I thought about taking a picture of my setup.. but I was literally so frustrated with A) everything rolling/falling/tipping over just as I was about to take the shot and B) 99.9% of my shots motion blurred from shaky hands

As soon as I got the shot I wanted, I snatched up the can and smashed it and launched it in the trash with everything I had left in me.

cool idea, nicely done. I really like the black and white conversion you did

Great idea and Great shot!

Great idea... but I'd have no idea what ANY of it was if you didn't explain it.

The shot is cool with your description, but I would pass it right up if I didn't know what I was looking at.

Thanks everyone.

@Boomn4x4 I agree. That's why I said it didn't come out quite as good as I had hoped. I wanted it to scream "this was taken from inside a can".. but that's really hard to do. Especially because the inside of the can isn't all that much different from the outside.. so it takes some staring to figure out what's going on.

Kudos for hanging in till you got the shot. Great idea. Your situation is why I have a lot of grip equipment and several rolls of gaffers tape around.
I would crop it square.

I don't think it could ever scream "this was taken from inside a can", because few people know what that perspective looks like, and like Boom4X4 would not know what it was without an explanation.

I disagree with these guys. I think I could have figure out what it was after a few seconds of looking at it. the flip tab makes it pretty obvious.
