I think its a fantastic idea. As to the notion that folks wouldn't figure it out.... I believe that most would if they take the time to enjoy it, and take a few moments to study it. If they don't, then that's their loss.

For what it's worth, I think this would have been PERFECT if you had been able to get your eye in focus instead of the inside of the top of the can. Not sure if that was what your goal was or not, but either way, good job

Great idea... but I'd have no idea what ANY of it was if you didn't explain it.

The shot is cool with your description, but I would pass it right up if I didn't know what I was looking at.

I knew what it was immediately after opening the page. You can pretty easily tell based on the geometry of the shapes. Very cool look.

Still don't get how you did it though...

If the can was OOF, then you REALLY wouldn't be able to tell what it was. I got a couple shots like that, with the focus reversed, and it didn't look good at all. Nobody would have been able to figure out it was a can.

Which is why the homerun shot is having both the eye and the inside of the can sharply focused.
