Sometimes when I am taking these kind of pictures I feel civilization is in a far off distant planet from where I am.

i absolutely love your tranquil images John...they are incredibly peaceful; ecspecially to someone who lives where i do.

Wow, nice photos you have taken here. I love all three but the way the colours shimmer in the water...actually makes it look a bit like the sea is on fire, its fantastic. Was that natural or did you use ps?

Wow thanks again everyone, I thought this post would go south fast, guess I was wrong again.

Vixenta, I take most of my photo's in the evening or morning, that particular photo was a result of the last bit of evening light and clear water. PS was used for contrast, brightness, sharpening and level adjustments.

First pic is awesome. I think the "texture" of the water surface is very neat.
