Some Illinois landscapes in different seasons

I love the weather here, its never the same and always throws you curveballs when you least expect it. Here are some shots I took over the last year, hopefully detailing some weather patterns we experience. Youd never guess that these were all shot in the same state.

My God, that red sunset... :hail: I've only seen a sunset like that once, and I didn't have a camera. My roommate did, though. Check it out: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11532155/ Okay, so not quite red, but pretty close. Awesome job.

Certainly looks familiar to me! Especially that damn snow! :grumpy:

Very nice shots...I like #9, though it kinda looks like you have a little camera shake in it.

Harvest time throws a lot of crap in the air that makes for really pretty sunsets. Shots like this are why I couldn't move to Cali.

#9 was shot using a tripod, no camera shake, just the wind blowing the trees a bit. Thanks for looking!

Thanks! The red sunset is the same as the one above it, just a few minutes later and I zoomed in on the red part only, reminded me of a scene from Mars or something. The sunset only lasted maybe 10 minutes and changed rapidly. That was shot on Thanksgiving day up near Rockford.

This shot was taken in Rockford of all places (yuck), LOL. It was after we were leaving the wife's grandparents house when I stepped outside and saw this beauty unfolding. I tried to find a place to shoot the sunset where it wasnt blocked by trees or houses, the best place I could find in that short time was a church parking lot (hence the lights in the FG). It was gorgeous, one of the most red sunsets Ive ever laid eyes on.
