Supposedly Nikon is going to announce a lot of new product around August 24th.

Nikon uses Sony sensors.

Sony just announced their brand-new sensor. DP Review Link.

Ok, so does this mean that it is the new Nikon sensor around which their new products will be built? In that case, it is NOT full-frame - once again.

Or might Sony not announce their complete new line, and let Nikon lead with that information? Nikon is NOT developing their own sensors, and I don't believe they've made a deal with anyone else.

Certainly there are people who believe Sony is about to announce its new line of dSLR cameras.

Oh well... idle forum speculation... my favorite!

I really don't' care if Nikon goes full frame or not. That's what the 12-24 was made for.

Really the only thing I'm hoping Nikon releases is an AF-S 70-200 f/4 VR. That way, I could get rid of my 80-200 that I just don't need. It's huge, loud, and takes up more room in my bag than I have. Pretty much the only reason I use it now is if my 24-120 isn't long enough. At the 80-120mm range, my 24-120 is just as sharp as my 80-200 on a 6MP sensor. The only downside is I'd be shooting at f/5.6, not f/2.8.
