Personally I like the light painting with the red gel, I painted it on the door and from the inside door crack and windows.Long-exposure night photography is my passion, and it's good to see more people doing it! As far as the light painting goes, I would have preferred to leave out the colored lights at the bottom of the subject, and use only white light instead. Compositionally, this is a very centered image. Next time you might want to try shooting it in portrait, and moving to the left a bit. Position the tower on the right ROT, and the north star in the upper left ROT powerpoint.
Shutter speed was 30 seconds, something like 130+ exposures. I would have done longer exposures but the light pollution was horrible.nineoneeighttony said:<img src="http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/attachments/general-gallery/15199-star-trail-light-painting-stackedimage.jpg"/>
