Photos OK to edit
During the six months that I have been engaged with photography I have really started to begin to see EVERYTHING as a potential photograph. Even before I started to study up on it and do it as a hobby, I always loved photography! I practically made and did everything for my wedding as econimical as possible. The only thing that I did not want to scimp on was the photographer. Well, this happened to be the only thing that sucked! I am by no means a great photographer, but this guy was worse! I literally uploaded the photos myself and edited them myself. This is besides the point though. I walk around all day long, watching people, observing light and creating images in my head. I can easily walk through a room in my house or outside, see an illuminated spot, and think "wow, that would look great with...etc.,etc, etc!" To me, capturing and preserving time is such a gift. (as I'm sure it is to all of you fellow photogs)

I may not be a seasoned photographer. I may not know my mechanics or have yet mastered and applied my terminology and technique, but, man I WANT THIS! I want to be able to "bottle up" time for people and present it to them on a silver platter/ "frame." lol. If I could only learn quicker.........

That's how we all started.
I'm taken by your enthusiasm.

Dear Impatient: Stop spending so much time posting, spend more time shooting! ;)

I shoot during the day and post at night =) Sometimes I shoot at night but my typical subjects are asleep. haha. I don't really like to shoot stills.

You are an addict. There is a 12 step program for that. I haven't made it past the 2nd or 3rd step yet, but I do go whole days once in a great while!

True wealth is walking to the beat of your own drummer.
Be your own drummer.

Don't ask me how I know.

My enthusiasm wore off a long time ago. Occasionally, when I get a new toy, I'll take some random shots, but generally, I would say the largest contributor to my keeper ratio is that, now, I take less shots.

When I started, I could take 3 or 4 hundred shots of something that really only needed 2 or 3.

Hope you can keep your enthusiasm going.

I feel the same way! Everywhere I go I'm constantly thinking about it. I always have my camera with me just in case;)
