It's a young person, who probably can't contribute much, because he is newer to photography, and is contributing in a way he probably feels is nice. Welcoming people.
Why is that so bad?

Driving him away is probably the right thing to do though, to clean up the "Active Topics", for everybody's convenience and well being.

Aside from Luke1234, you could probably attack SmalltownGirl, and Icecanam, for the same reason.

It's utterly harmless and yeah maybe once or twice the welcomes threads appear in newposts in a block and - that takes around a few milliseconds to ignore and move on from. There's nothing to gain by people boosting post count unless they are really desperate to be "junkies" on the site.

Ps I'm pretty sure Smalltowngirl can do things with the code that will turn your profile upside down (admins have scary powers like that!
