Street shot Critique

So i've recently hit a slump in my photography where I feel like every image I've made up until this point is bad. My composition is basic, my post processing is set to overkill... (mad contrast). I need some advice on what to do. I'll show you some examples, I've

If you know that you're over-processing, what is it that you want to hear?

Content is at least as important as contrast, and lighting. For example, the cock fight is good but would have been better if you showed the cock's face and fierce and angry eyes. Shooting pictures of animal's from the back just doesn't do justice to the animal. You also have too much foreground that just draws the viewer's eyes away from the subject - the cock and spectators. Too much empty space on the right. Crop it out too. Also, if you added more of the spectators, their excitement, if you would catch it, would add too make this a more dynamic picture. Imagine how great your picture would be if you caught the cock turned around running toward the camera, fierce eyes and all, with spectators in the background showing their excitement and spirit as well. Otherwise the contrast and lighting on this picture is OK.

I was thinking along the same lines, especially with the last image. I have no clue what this guy is doing so it begs more questions than answers. In actuality you've made the kid squatting on the track and the lady observing you making the shot more important than the main figure. Angle of attack is often more important than anything else in the frame. All things equal, I'd live with the cocks a bit flurried in motion with a cheering BG of spectators more than I would from a rear angle. Other than the first one, the processing is livable at this point in your end game. Framing is your present journey.
