Suggestion needed : Best DSLR for photography which can be used for Vlogging also

For anything Canon that would be used for vlogging... you want to make sure it has "Dual Pixel CMOS-AF". That's Canon's technology which embeds phase-detect auto-focus capability directly in the imaging sensor and that means the camera can perform continuous and accurate auto-focus even if the subject is moving around.

There are other cameras that do continuous auto-focus ... but they don't use phase-detect style auto-focus which means that they can detect the subject is falling out of focus... but they have to do "focus hunt" to re-acquire focus (you notice the camera doing several quick shifts of focus before re-locking focus.... whereas in a phase-detect type auto-focus the camera just snaps directly to the correct focus distance without having to "hunt" for it.) Not all Canon models have this feature... but most newer models do.

Sony DSLRs (the models that actually have a reflex mirror) use a non-moving semi-transparent mirror so that some of the light is bounced down into the phase-detect focus sensors. This allows them to do full-time focus during live video. Those are Sony "A" mount cameras. Sony's mirrorless cameras do not have this ability ... they have to do "focus hunt" (those are the "E" mount cameras).

Nikon doesn't have any cameras that can do continuous auto-focus during video without having to do "focus hunt" (the reflex mirror has to swing clear of the sensor when going into live-view or video and that means they can't bounce light into the phase-detect focus sensor and they don't have any compensating technology ... something similar to Canon's "Dual Pixel CMOS-AF", etc.)

I don't know what Fuji or Panasonic use on their mirrorless cameras... but you might want to check on that to avoid doing videos where moving subjects results in several quick shifts of focus (very distracting to see) whenever the subject distance changes.

BTW, as Petrochemist pointed out... out of the cameras in your list are "mirrorless, interchangeable lens cameras" (MILC ... you sill sometimes hear people just say "milk" cameras (but it's nothing to do with a cow)).
Thank you for an in depth knowledge sharing. Yes I am aware of Canon's revolutionary Dual Pixel Auto Focus technology. Thats why M50 is among my sortlisted models.

Let me share something with you. I am planning to start a YouTube channel. Although the main purpose is Vlogging but I love photography. And it will be my first DSLR/Mirrorless purchase. Till now I have been using only Point & Shoot cameras & occassionally some DSLR shooting when I get access of any.

Now Canon's M50 has almost everything :
Dual Pixel Auto Focus
4K upto 24 FPS
But the biggest disadvantage is, it's Dual Pixel autofocus doesnot work in 4K video mode. also 4K video mode has crop effect.
So it means 4K video recording is totally compromised.

What I liked about Fuji is its color output. I don't know why but I found the color of pictures taken by Fuji cameras are very bright, vibrant & attractive. In my country, I am getting Fuji X-T100 with XC 15-44mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens + XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 at $1000 which I think is a decent deal. Again, it has drawback of 4K videos at 15 fps but I dont thing I will be using 4K videos extensively as it would require lots of resources to edit those videos. In anyway I have Xiaomi Mijia 4K action camera which can record 4K upto 30 fps & 2K upto 60 fps. Though there is no match of recording 4K by quality DSLR with the same by action camera.

Finally I have also an eye on Nikon's D5600 with AFP 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 + 70-300mm f4.5-6.3 which I am getting at $800.

All 3 model has articulating screen which is an important feature for Vlogging.

I would love to consider Sony A6000 or A6300 mirrorless models but those lack touchscreen LCDs as well as articulating screens.

Err ... assuming I was interested in them, I would download your vlogging at 360p.

The only use for 4k that I can think of is when you really have something thats aesthetic to show. Like expensively made Hollywood movies.

You`d get a good deal if you go second hand for say a Fuji X-T20 or the X-T2.

That post was from back in September. I´d assume the OP already has a camera ;)
