Well I'm sending my brand new MacBook Pro out for repair. The hinges shouldn't be making a crunchy snapping sound everytime you open the lid. The guy from Apple said that's not normal and recommend sending it in for inspection/repair.
The repair title said "Customer Sensory Issue"
It doesn't bother me, but a $1600 premium laptop with fancy hinges shouldn't sound this bad when you open and close it. There are tight tolerances with thin wires running through these hinges. What if something is misaligned from the factory and eventually wears through and I have a faulty screen or one of the sensors stopped working?
That's why I'm sending it in to make it's OK.
Luckily I have Apple care and shouldn't cost me anything to have it looked at possibly repaired.
