The truck acted up this morning. Went to recycle and waste disposal center to drop off trash. The truck refused to go into gear, flashing the gear lights on the console. Finally got it in after turning it off and back on a few times but CEL islit. I took it home and we finished day in the Honda. I picked up a code reader but by the time I got home it was too late to deal with it.

Lazy libster and I went to get ice cream out of fridge/freezer and it was soup. Fridge part not cooling right, either. MLW found a good sale at the big box store so ordered a fridge for pickup while I reserved a truck rental. No pickups available so I got a small moving truck. When it rains, it pours.

For future - highly recommend Costco for appliance purchases if you’re a member. Prices are not much cheaper than your typical Lowe’s/HD or Bestbuy but they really stand behind their goods and delivery and haul away are typically included in the price so in the end it’s a better deal than the sale prices elsewhere.

Huge Costco fan. No beefs with their delivery/takeaway service. Up here, though, they're opting more for Chinese brands like Hisense. HD delivers "better" brands at comparable or better prices. FYI, I just had a 5yr-old lightly-used LG dishwasher suffering from a failing motor/pump--supposedly covered for 10 yrs--yeah, right. Sketchy warranty, part cost-only/no labour coverage.
Possible diy fix(Cdn$ 400 part). Or part cost+indy appliance service put me not all that far from a new Whirlpool from HD...Did that+diy install. Big drink later soothed it all.

Always check out those liquidator places, they have great deals. Especially if you need one right now. Like with a broken fridge.

Today marks a milestone for me, getting ready to go to my last radiation treatment. Funny how when I was looking at 36 days of treatment from the front end, it looked like a loooonnnng time, now looking back, it seems to have gone really fast. There were a few unpleasant days along the line, but all in all, it wasn't that bad, it could have been much worse. Now the hard part will be waiting for three months, before they can tell it if worked.

The fridge is in. I ran a swath of the snowblower in the yard in order to better align the truck ramp with the porch. A couple of younger, stronger guys got it off the truck and into the house.

I want a lobster roll for dinner!

Plugged the fridge in this morning. It did get tipped a bit trying to get it off the truck so we decided to hold off and let any leaked oil work it's way out of the cooling system before powering it up. Everythoing looks good; salvageable food was transfered over and the old one out of the house. Someone should be here soon to get it. We still need to shop for replacement stuff so tonight is one more delivery: lobster rolls!

Three days ago it was 12F when I took Phoebe out, this morning it was 48F, and headed for highs in the 60s. Not complaining, but this constantly changing temperature doesn't work well with the sinuses.

We got above freezing yesterday so the truck went through the carwash. We are headed back down to the teens.

The second-floor bathroom is framed in, so we are at the point we need the shower valve and a vanity. We are shopping today. I have my final PT this morning.

Been hovering around freezing, got some melting yesterday plus air's been so dry a lot of evaporation. So I get the Harley out. Running low on a couple things.

We found a vanity at the Re-Store in Kennebunk. The price was $45, reduced to $30. I told MLW we should just get it. If LL doesn't like it we can use it in the eventual basement bath, if not the main when it gets renovated.

Headed out to a spot on the mountain for some photos. When I left it was 40f with light wind when I got there it was 38f, light mist and the wind was howling. Didn't get to spend much time because of the cold. On the way back the tire pressure alert came on. Thought I could make it back till I saw the pressure was continuing to drop. As luck would have it around the next corner was a little country repair shop. Pulled in they repaired the tire (small screw), $15 later we were back on the road. Sometimes you get the peanut sometimes the hull.

Still hovering at or below freezing here. You know you’re in New England when it’s 30° and you’re out walking with your friends and the dogs and you’re all saying how warm it is (compared to last week!).

Got my car washed today after twice dirtying my clothes/coat when brushing against the car. It’s been so dry here that the snow and slush just leaves a nasty dirt layer on everything.

In offroading, you air down to get better grip on rocks and "float" on sand (at the beach), so I got a portable compressor that plugs into the trailer wiring socket. I haven't got the jump starter yet, but I have a charger/maintainer (trickle charge).
