Hosers, what started as an innocent replacement of steps from the deck up to the house (only 3 steps, but 2 sets needed for two sides of the house) has now morphed into a complete deck teardown and replacement. Plus doing the 2 sets of steps.

The deck was clearly done by some former homeowner with just enough skills and tools to do it. Too bad it was set right into the ground. We were trying to half-step our way through winter and deal with the deck next year, but you can only hear the word "rotten" so many times.

Weekend warriors. Gotta luv 'em!

I'm saving a few of my potted annuals - the ones that still attract pollinators. The rest have been unceremoniously dumped. Will be transferring chairs, cushions, tables tomorrow.

And just like that, my outdoor sipping time is done for the year! :waves goodbye:

Further proof of a huge disturbance in the Force. That sort of creeping decay is slowly being reversed at the family ruin but there's miles to go before we rest. No fun!
Finally getting a large limb lifted and chopped from my roof after a two week wait.
Then today the "Guaranteed Fit" snowblower belt came up too long after a painful teardown
I really didn't have time for. Cocktails, anyone?

I don't need GPS ... I can read (and make) maps.

I'm cutting grass tomorrow morning, then I think I'll draw, possibly do some painting.
