You don't even have to try to take a good picture of the Grand Canyon. It's an amazing sight and site. I highly recommend a classic Southwest road trip for everyone. Pic taken with a Canon point and shoot.
It is very beautiful. I have never had the opportunity to go there. I think your photo would actually look better with the sky cropped out. It doesnt do anything for the photo.
Not trying to hijack your thread but I just got back from a week and a half roadtrip and stopped by the canyon... One of my favorite pics. No matter how many pics I took you really couldnt get the feeling captured in a pic
I actually wasnt able to. I was out of money and had to get back for work:thumbdown::thumbdown: Just a reason to head back!!!
Love the picture. But like Tyler said, you just can't capture the feeling or grandeur of the area in a picture. What way were you traveling? If you went through Utah you would have driven about a block from my house. I've been meaning to get out to the Grand Canyon sometime, but just can't seem to pull myself away from Zion
I did go up through Utah! Zion is beautiful. A bit yuppy. The only thing that sucked about Utah are their alcohol laws. An hour after eating a big Navajo taco dinner, I wanted to grab a quick drink. Had to buy another dinner, because they won't serve you beer unless you order a meal. :er:
We hit up Moab a roadtrip a couple months back and it was amazing there. We went to buy beer for camping and they only sold beers individually, no six packs or cases!
Dunno what happened, but my color profile is messed on the arches picture when uploaded. Definitely does not look like that on my computer. Arches is still awesome though.
