The idea is very original and good, nevertheless I think that the elaboration of the photography is missed, or so that this sobreexposed, or also by the direction of the light that I believe that it is in the opposite side, reducing this way the impressive color of peperonni. He is preferable in the digital photography, and unlike the traditional photography, to leave to the photography a little subexposed.
I hope that it does not bother my commentary to you.

Thank you Ozzono for the input! I always try to overexpose a bit to get the real white on the background but I agree that the colors in some parts of the chili pepper are not great ... I'll try to do it again then

@hobo.. I used two table lights to light the pepper...

Just wondering what kind of equipment you used to take the picture. I'm not interested in the camera but things like lighting. Do you have a special flash or did you just use the light you had at hand?

@ahelg: I used two desklights with neon tubes in it... other then that I used a white background an a tent like thing to get indirect light...
