The Kiss - First Wedding C&C

Yeah, I purposely over exposed the pictures because White is the a typical wedding color and if I exposed everything at the "correct exposure" it didn't stand out.
Without meaning to appear thick, could you please explain this to me in small words? I really don't understand quite what you mean...

I don't know how else to explain it other than saying, when taking test shots before the wedding the colors looked better if I overexposed everything a half step.

Edit: I have an example that I will post, but it won't be until later.
WHY would you over-expose a white dress???? It's a wedding. Weddings are about brides. EVERYTHING else, including the groom, parents, food, liquor and cake is incidental. If you make the bride look good, you've done your job. If you have to sacrifice (and you shouldn't, but if you do...) a third of a stop on the groom to get the bride right, do it!

Shot is okay. Could have been center a bit better but quality is good. Wish the guy would have closed his eyes. Looks as if he is peering out of the corner of his eye at you. Kind of odd. Not your fault really.
